Beth's Wedding at The Flander's Hotel in Ocean City

I loved the colors for Beth's wedding down in Ocean City. Her theme was sand dollars so we incorporated them in the base of all her centerpieces.



We used hydrangeas, roses, lilies, amaryllis, delphinium, gerberas, and green trick dianthus.

Shelly's Wedding at Running Deer June 19, 2010

Shelly's wedding today was a BLAST! We did all purple and orange and used flowers and lots of satin ribbon to add color and a whimsical feel. There was also a film crew there working on a commercial that will air during Monday Night Football this fall! My flowers may be on TV!



Bright orange dahlias adorned the chairs and we used long purple double face satin ribbons.


We wired on purple orchids to the ribbons to add more color and interest!


We put clementines in some cylinders and lemons in the others with dark purple stock at the top.
I wrapped votive cups with thin purple satin and did a criss cross wrap with a single orange Milva rose. A bunch of these were on the sweetheart table! More pics to follow! Met her fabulous photographer who I am also working with this October! So excited! Congratulations to the new couple, I had a great time working with you!

Oranges and Corals are HUGE right now!

I know purple is pushed as one of the top colors this year, but now that orange is making a big comeback, coral is the perfect compliment! I have had a lot of coral weddings in the past, and it feels as if these colors are timeless favorites! The vase above was dropped off at one of our bride's homes for the dining room table to match the wedding colors. Bright tangerine anthurium, Free Spirit and Movie Star roses, gerberas, cockscomb, and ranunculus are softened with lots of white sweet peas. I added some jasmine vine for a southern touch.

Rehearsal Dinners!

This was an insane week! In addition to the 3 weddings and 2 funerals we had this week, we also did a rehearsal dinner for a 4th bride on Thursday night. We headed to Winfield's, located in Millville's Art District, which is a chic and modern restaurant with great food and cool decor! These centerpieces were fun bright flowers in glass cylinders. I used a tropical calithea leaf in each vase and designed the arrangements using gerbera daisies, roses, lady's mantle, Mimi Eden spray roses, silver brunia, and hypericum berries. The groom's mother Kim was ecstatic when she saw them!

Danielle and Brett's Wedding Saturday June 12, 2010

Today's wedding was so much fun! I met Danielle awhile ago and she and her mom were awesome to work with! It's so nice to work with people you can end up truly becoming good friends with! Danielle's mom Sally was probably holding Ethan while we set up this wedding or took pictures after set up! It felt like family since our neighbors were there and one of them was officiant! The photographer was even the girlfriend of my neighbor, it was just very cool to see so many people you know and not expect to see them all together. It was great! I can't wait to see the pictures of the the bouquets with the dresses. Everything was gorgeous and everyone was super happy! Then I found out that Danielle and Brett live about 3 blocks away, so I know we will definitely see each other on a normal basis!

I loved her colors! Lavender, coral, and orange! We draped lavender chiffon fabric over the purgola at Running Deer and hung crystals of different heights. The fabric looked gorgeous flowing in the wind, which made the day feel great since it was pretty hot.

Her flowers were coral Movie Star roses, orange dahlias, orange ranunculus, Ocean Song roses, and lavender sweet peas. I added hanging green amaranthus, coral gerberas, and also some warmer Meritime lavender roses for depth.

Movie Star roses were tied to the chairs with a soft lavender double face satin ribbon.

The cake smelled so good! Wayne from Century did a fabulous job and I know it tasted awesome too, because he made my wedding cake almost 6 years ago (wow, that went fast). I LOVED these colors!!!

The card table arrangement was so much fun! I used amaranthus, dahlias, roses, gerberas, eremurus, peonies, sweet peas, and ranunculus. I also suspended 3 Ocean Song roses with lavender wire. So you have 3 choices when it comes to using single blooms: submerged, suspended, or floating. It's always fun to mix it up!

Sneak Peak At Kristie's Wedding This August

I am so excited about these colors! Kristie's wedding is this August and she came in this week to see samples. I'm posting this for her and her mom to look back for later on, but also because I am doing a lot of weddings in this color scheme this year and next. The dark violet sweet peas, lisianthus, and hydrangeas are combined with lime, fresh green, and white flowers. The cube above has violet water with all the shades of purple and green.

Kristie's bouquet will be like the one above with more lime added. The bridesmaids are wearing an "obnoxiously bright purple" so we did a lot of lime and white with only the dress fabric over the stems. These will pop against the dresses perfectly!

This centerpiece sample is designed in a silver bowl with a hint of pale yellow to contrast against the shades of purple and compliment the lime.

Megan's Gorgeous Outdoor Ceremony at Pratt Gardens, Pilesgrove, NJ

I was so happy to work with Megan and catch up with her sister Becky (we took some classes at Wilmington University together). Megan chose purple as her primary color and we used it everywhere! I used lots of purple tulips, sweet peas, grape hyacinths, and lots of other pretty garden favorites! I love whimsical gardens and Pratt Gardens was beautiful. It reminded me of Lancaster County with all the rolling hills in the distance. I can't wait to see the professional photos, but here are some of mine that we took today.

I made a natural arbor for the guests and bridal party to walk under as the ceremony began. This was the first wedding that I used my new HUGE silver urns and pedestals! I love these!!! The flowers were made in another urn and dropped into these so they could be re-used for the reception. I always encourage using your ceremony flowers for the reception and getting the most out of your money. (NOTE: The silver urns and pedestals are available for rent and will work great anywhere, so if you like them, just ask for me to save them for your date.)
We tied purple satin to the urns to add a whimsical feel and also hung them in the gazebo to bring in more purple (and make the hanging baskets stand out more as well).

We added lavender hydrangeas to the chairs with long ivy and ivory satin draping down.

Megan wanted clean tables so we submerged tulips (wired with purple wire) and used floating candles in clear cylinders of 2 heights. Then we sprinkled rose petals and also some purple floral blooms of some other flowers we worked with in the urns. I wanted to add a variation of color over the purple linens. Can't wait to see how the candles all looked lit!

I tied in the same look on the cake and kept it simple with just a hint of color. A clean white cake was accented with purple tulips tied with purple wire. She and her family were so happy with everything! And the rain held out once again for a great outdoor event! Congratulations guys!!!

Diana and Jim's Wedding on May 30, 2010

It was a gorgeous day at Running Deer Golf Club for an outdoor ceremony. Diana's favorite color is Morning Glory Blue, so I think we hit it right on! I used hybrid delphinium, hydrangeas, grape hyacinths, and other white flowers to accent. I adorned dark blue hydrangeas on her chairs with long ivy and varigated greens from my family's garden.

I also used blue hydrangeas sprinkled on the aisle with delphinium blooms and white rose petals.

The cake was decorated with blue hydrangeas, blue delphinium blooms and white stock. It was a pleasure working with Diana's parents while Diana and Jim were out of state. I loved watching the ceremony and the excitement in Jim and Diana's faces! What a gorgeous day! Congratulations guys!

Katelyn and Bobby's Wedding on April 17

I would love to share some photos from Katelyn and Bobby's wedding on April 17, 2010. Katelyn and I (and 2 of the bridesmaids) both went to Sacred Heart High School, so it was so much fun to be able to do their flowers for their spring wedding! The ceremony was held in East Vineland and the reception was held at The Seaview by Dolce in Galloway. These awesome photos are courtesy of Lorraine Daley Wedding Photography.

The flower girls carried adorable little kissing balls with colors from each bridesmaid.


Katelyn's bridal bouquet was created with Vitality garden roses and green hypericum berries.

Each bridesmaid bouquet featured colors for that specific dress. I loved these! The soft colors complemented the dresses perfectly!

We did 2 styles of centerpieces. The above photo features all white and ivory flowers designed in a silver bowl.

The other centerpiece style had 3 silver mint julep cups, each filled with a single variety.
