Maria's Wedding on June 26, 2010

Maria contacted me 2 weeks before her wedding because the package from her venue stated that fresh centerpieces were included, which were not. Even though I had 2 other weddings that day, I was more than happy to help her out and give her exactly what she wanted. I know she contacted some other florists too, and the others pretty much laughed in her face. That was so unfortunate and super unprofessional, and it is the exact opposite way I run my business. Don't speculate, just give the bride what she wants! It's as simple as that. I got some photos back and wanted to share them. They came out really pretty and we were so happy to know Maria liked everything. Her's wasn't the only last minute rescue we had this wedding season, there were more, and I am happy to say that they were all happy with what we did!

Holly's Wedding on 10/10/10

Holly's bouquet had dahlias, sweet peas, stephanotis, and buplerum. I absolutely LOVED it!

The purgola at Running Deer was covered in lots of curly willow and mossy branches for a woodsy feel. Then we added hanging green amaranthus, green and plum dendrobium orchids, and deep purple hydrangeas. This was so much fun to create with my hubby Eric. We work so well together :)

The chairs had a tall lichen branch with plum and green dendrobium orchids, long amaranthus, and a large purple hydrangea.

We used 2 of Running Deer's cylinders and filled them with white rocks and a mix of longer stemmed dahlias, sweet peas, amaranthus, lisianthus, veronica, and placed them on top of a large slice of tree trunk. These are sooo cool and also available for rent if you are looking for a woodsy theme accent!

These centerpieces were so pretty! I used hydrangeas, lisianthis, veronica, orchids, and amaranthus and designed them in this bark covered container. A bed of moss with some branches completed the look.

We custom cut these and carved out the center to fit a votive! P.S. These are also available to rent!

LOVED her cake! We added lots of moss and mossy branches to the base of Holly's cake. Her dad made the tree trunk base and The Sweet Life bakery did the cake. Gorgeous as always!

An Oldie but Goody! Christi's Peony Wedding Last Spring

Christi's wedding was so fun! It was at the home of a mutual friend and also on a gorgeous spring day in the country! Her bouquet was only peonies, clean with no accents. Gorgeous!

The bridesmaids wore black and carried soft pink sweet peas and parrot tulips.

Janelle and Glenn's Wedding at Running Deer on September 11, 2010

I absolutely LOVED the flowers for Janelle's wedding! We did shades of pink with caramel orchids. I used pink Baroness garden roses, along with a warm caramel pink garden rose called Pink Finesse. It's tan outer petals matched the orchids and brought the shades together perfectly.

We did a large arrangement on the top of Running Deer's purgola and hung dozens of family crystals that the bride's mother had collected.  I think they gave the perfect mix of eclectic glam!

Wedding Inspirations: Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher's Wedding

I wanted to blog this because a hand full of brides have told me they want Carrie Underwood's wedding. I bought this issue as soon as it came out because I love her and I LOVE her wedding flowers! I love the tall tree trunks with pink roses and the rose pomanders hanging from the sheppards hooks! So in 2011 I will be taking some ideas from Carrie and adding them to 4 bride's weddings (and counting). Stay tuned!

Kate and Will's Wedding On September 12

What an awesome ending to a weekend of craziness! We had 4 weddings the day before, so it was great to do a laid back wedding. Kate and Will's wedding in Cape May was so much fun! I worked with Kate's mom, Barbara, whom I met on the beach setting up for another wedding weeks before. I never officially met the bride but what a cool group of people! Justin Wright Photography (blog.justinwrightphoto.com) took some amazing photos! We set up on a tiny deserted residential beach near Cape May Lighthouse, which was beautiful! Kate and her girls made all of their bouquets the morning of the wedding, along with all the bouts too! As a pro, I think she did a awesome job!

We made a flower wand of mini sunflowers for the flowergirl.

LOVE the pesos! I miss Mexico!

 It was a pleasure working with such a happy couple. Kate and Will looked so blissfully happy! It made our job that much easier! It was a pleasure and thank you both! We wish you many years of happiness and laughter!

Pretty, Pretty Orchids!

Laura Leigh Photo and I recently did a tiny photo session for a magazine, which I will post when we publish this spring, and this bouquet was one of my favorites! I used 3 varieties of Phalaenopsis orchids. SOOO CUTE!

Tiffany and Aaron's Wedding in Stone Harbor on September 25

This was an insane weekend, we are averaging 4 weddings per weekend, so having nice photos to post brings a feeling of accomplishment, because I get to see the flowers full circle. I order them and have them shipped to my boutique, or go to the farm and pick them myself, and start with a fresh, raw product. Then it's morphed into an amazing, beautiful piece of art. Tiffany liked warm lavender, so we used Amnesia roses, which have a cool antique tan outer petal and soft lavender inner petal. Then we used all white flowers so the Amnesia roses got all the attention. White hydrangeas, ranunculus, callas, and stephanotis were used. To give Tiffany a hint of sparkle (which you can't see great here) we added lavender crystals into the center of the stephanotis and some ranunculus. Super classy and clean!  It was a pleasure working with you guys, Congrats!

Brandi and Chuck's wedding in Atlantic City

I love all these photos so I listed all of them! We wrapped Brandi's bouquet in a piece of fabric that Charlie wrapped a gift for her when they first started dating.

LOVE this venue!!! Had my 10 year high school reunion there too! Such a fun place!

Also another fabulous wedding with Kristin from Bel Momento!

Her centerpieces were solid sunflowers. A sunflower topiary tucked into a cube filled with more sunflowers! All of them sat on a bed of wheat grass! They looked awesome!

We finished the look with a small viking mum (mini sunflower) on each place setting.

Brandi carried sunflowers with a brown center, while her girls carried gold centered sunflowers.
